What do you receive for participation?
$10 for completing the first survey. $15 for completing a series of seven follow-up surveys that occur every two weeks. $10 for completing the final survey, which takes place one year from the first survey you take.
Additional reimbursement of $10 for the one-on-one feedback phone interviews and $25 for the focus groups (conducted by phone).
Participants will:
Answer a paper survey about your lifestyle, sleeping patterns, mood, and aches and pains, and complete seven follow-up surveys over one year.
You may also be asked to take part in a one-on-one interview or focus group, to use a special cap to monitor the time of day you take your anti-cancer medication (only applies to certain medications), or to give permission for study staff to review your medical records (only if you are a Vanderbilt patient).
How The Study Worked
We will ask questions about your sleep, mood, physical activities, and aches and pains. Responses from more than 4,000 women with and without breast cancer will be analyzed so we can better understand the effects of medications on quality of life in menopause, and help postmenopausal breast cancer survivors. All study information will be kept confidential.
